Graduate Program

Our Excel Graduate Program is designed to bridge the gap between university and real-life clinical practice. The program is not only helpful for new graduates but also all early career therapists looking to establish and flourish in your allied health career.

Induction Program

All new team members start with Orientation Week. This includes induction videos, multi-disciplinary therapy and, if available, or group session observations and other therapist shadowing opportunities.

This is then followed with a measured and gradual build up of clinical caseload. You will be guided with training and checklists to ensure clinical skills and personal wellbeing needs are being well looked-after.

Clinical Support

At Therapy Lab, clinical support is provided via 1:1 supervision, ad-hoc mentoring, structured specialised learning programs, clinical huddles, session observations, and so much more! Protected weekly supervision sessions are available to team members of all levels of experience. We love supporting our team members!

Admin Support

You will receive full admin support for client bookings, calendar scheduling, payments, sorting out Private Health and Medicare claims, NDIS invoicing, and everything in between.

This ensures that you can focus on what you do best: BE A CLINICIAN!

Clinical PD

Continuous professional development is essential to providing the best evidence-based practice to all our clients.

At Therapy Lab, we are invested in your clinical growth. This is why we provide all full-time clinicians $3000 PD budget every year.

Team members are encouraged to choose your own PDs relevant to your career growth and case-mix. They then get approved and you enrich your minds!

Internal PD

Experts in their field are invited to conduct learning and training workshops for the team. Exciting past events include Neurodiversity Training (Learn. Play. Chat) and Learn to Play (Karen Stagnitti).

There are also regular Team Learning sessions conducted by our multi-disciplinary team to provide inter-disciplinary training.

Leadership PD

This is available to team members who have expressed shown interest in leadership and management.

Leadership PD courses are selected in-line with your career progression and professional goals. Example courses include New Leaders Program, Project Management, and many more!

Leadership PD is available in addition to Clinical PD budget.

Additional Paid Leave

Full-time staff have access to 2 days of paid Study Leave per year.

This is in addition to your Personal and Annual Leave entitlements.

Paid Parental leave is also available, a rare benefit in private practice!

Realistic Caseload

Caseloads are built-up gradually for all new team members to provide an opportunity to settle into your new role.

Graduates and early career clinicians will have a zero-client Orientation week while more experienced clinicians may have 1 to 3 clients to start with per day in early weeks.

A typical full-time clinician weekly caseload is 25 client hours, which includes therapy sessions, writing reports, conducting groups, providing parent, carer, or educator consults.

This allows for ample downtime for training and learning opportunities, and to prevent burnout!

Career Progression

You will continue to receive clinical mentoring and supervision as you develop into your clinical role as a confident and well-resourced clinician.

As Therapy Lab values internal promotions and career progression, the senior career pathway is available to all clinicians who have shown interest in clinical leadership and/or team management.

Resourcing coordinator roles, social media roles, group planning roles, clinical mentors, student educators, social and wellbeing roles, clinical experts, clinical supervisors. The possibilities are endless!

Clinical Resources

To assist our team members provide the best services to our clients, there is a monthly resource budget to purchase books, toys, educational resources and much more.
